Right you are, John! She is not Kathryn Cooper; rather, she’s a Tibetan refugee living in Nepal. I met her while I was in a documenting this group of people in a refugee camp near the Himalayas. Her son was visiting when I was, and told me how hard it’s been for all the refugees, young and old, to get any funding for school, how to get job opportunities, or even how to get proper documentation. Her face sure tells a story, doesn’t it?
Thank you Kathryn. To me her face is an enigma, she looks as if she has a story to tell, but without that story the photo is just another face out of 7 billion.
I take it this woman is not Kathryn Cooper. I’d love to know more about her.
